Governance
The association's governing board consists of three directors, elected by the membership, and officers that are appointed by the board. During the annual meeting, property owners elect one director for a term of three years. Officers include a president, secretary, treasurer, and others as the board deems appropriate. All directors and officers serve on a voluntary basis without pay.
Covenants
The GSMC covenants, originally drafted in 1993, are designed for the protection and quality of living for all GSMC property owners and residents. The covenants are recorded in the Office of the Register of Deeds for Cherokee County North Carolina.
